March 16
The weather reports proved accurate as snow began to fall around noon. Just a light dusting remained in this high desert and temps stayed near freezing throughout the afternoon and evening. This made for magnificent views when the clouds parted. However, the day was dominated by the weather and the few glimpses of the spectacle of this area only whetted the curiosity of Nathan and Cailyn.
We retired to the RV in mid afternoon to celebrate my 61st birthday, my first as a grandpa.

Happy Birthday Norm!! Only one year ago we had a steak dinner on the patio when you were down here in Arizona for spring training. It was great seeing the two of you last week, even if only for a short time. Enjoy the younger Aunes and have a safe trip north. Lew Go Cougs!
