My favorite campsites have been on the water. I enjoy lakes. Ocean bays with warm water and sand beaches are a delight. But my favorite is a river. Rivers symbolize life. The water you jump into today is not the water you jumped in yesterday. The river is ever changing, flowing, just like life. Yesterday we pulled into a site where the nose of the rig is just 20 feet from the shore of the Colorado River. We are parked just a few feet from my cousin Karen and her husband Bill. Parker, Arizona is 5 miles to the south. Lake Havasu is 20 miles north.

We will be here three nights telling stories and enjoying the friendship and environs.
