Skagit II

One of the many marvels of creation is the annual running of salmon up our many rivers on the west coast.  The pinks, sometimes called humpies, run every other year.  Terry and Nelda again reserved a RV spot for us right on the Skagit River in Rockport.  The carefully maintained campground is one of our favorites and the site that the Ryan's reserved for us was just 30 yards from the river.  Gordon and Carol joined us along with Terry and Nelda's daughter and son in law, Shelly and Scott.  Fun times.  I think Terry landed over 40 fish in our four days there (catch and release).  I caught considerably fewer fish.  Gordon?  He outfished me again.

Fish on

Standing in the current on the rocks aggravates the ankles.  I take lots of breaks by the RV.

The buds.  One of my few chances at glory.
